Our Story
This is a love story that starts in the most romantic way of them all, by swiping right. After chatting a bit on the app Bumble, Dave and Kacey decided to meet up at a little cafe called Atmosphere in Mar Vista, CA on an especially hot summer day. Dave fell in love with Kacey's generosity towards others, always noticing the little but meaningful things, and her amazing cooking. Also, she is not into sports so she accepts that Dave is a Detroit Lions fan. Kacey fell in love with Dave's outgoing and goofy personality. He doesn't sweat the small stuff and he reminds Kacey not to either.
Dave and Kacey's wedding plans were delayed due to the pandemic so they decided to marry on 02/12/2021, which was Chinese New Year. They are excited to renew their vows with friends and family this Summer.

This hacienda-style hotel is very conveniently located to the wedding. It's also where the wedding party will be staying! We have a room block here until 07/27/2021.

This 4-star hotel is located further north in Santa Barbara right near the ocean. Bike and beach equipment available for rent, if you're staying for the weekend!

Love in the time of Coronavirus
Love is in the air...and so is coronavirus. We cannot wait to celebrate with our friends and family, but we want to make sure it's done so safely.
EVENT CAPACITY
Many of you have asked about the size of the wedding and the venue itself due to COVID-19. The venue has a capacity of 300 people and we will be having 90 guests attending. The ceremony and reception area are completely outdoors. The dance floor and restrooms are located indoors. The dance floor area is fairly well ventilated with large french doors going along two walls.
MASKS
We will not be requiring attendees to wear masks, though our guests are more than welcome to wear one if it makes them feel more comfortable. We will not be providing masks at the wedding.
VACCINATION STATUS
We trust our guests to have answered their RSVP truthfully and we will not be requiring proof of COVID-19 vaccination at our wedding.
RAPID TESTING
We will have a self-administered COVID-19 Antigen Testing Station outside of our Wedding Venue. While we are not making this mandatory, it is highly recommended to increase the safety for our guests. We will include detailed instructions with each test kit to make the process as seamless as possible. The testing is rapid and will provide results 10 minutes after administering. We understand that rapid testing does not guarantee that our wedding will be COVID-19 free, but it will still lessen the chance. While instructions will be included, we have attached the instructions for the test to this email. We want our guests to feel comfortable and safe!
POSITIVE TEST RESULTS
Should you leave if your test result comes back positive? Sadly, yes. We can test multiple times to ensure there was not a false positive, though the chances of a false positive are rare. If you are concerned about traveling "all the way to our wedding" and not being able to attend, then we suggest you also test prior to travel. We say this with love!!! We do not want any of our guests to not be able to attend, but we also want to ensure the safety of all of our loved ones as much as we can!
